My approach to learning design is rooted in my background as an academic, educator, and curator. I hold a Ph.D. in Middle Eastern Studies from NYU and have taught courses ranging from high school social studies to adult education at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research.

My academic research and writing lies at the intersection of visual and cultural studies, postcolonial theory, and critical security studies. My essays and reviews have been published in a number of cultural journals and art magazines, and my book Decolonize Museums was published in 2022 by OR Books and Warscapes.

Today, as an Instructional Designer in mission-driven healthcare, I design and develop engaging and accessible e-learning training programs and classroom materials using innovative technology and best practices for adult learning.
